KLIK-51MQ contains 5-Amino-1-methylquinolinium, a potent and selective inhibitor of nicotinamide N-methyltransferase (NNMT). Each pen contains 100mg/3ml. NNMT is an enzyme overexpressed in adipose tissue and certain cancers that depletes SAM (S-adenosylmethionine) and NAD+ pools. By inhibiting NNMT, 5-Amino-1MQ increases intracellular SAM and NAD+ levels, enhances energy expenditure in fat cells, and reduces adipocyte size. Research focuses on obesity, metabolic syndrome, and cellular senescence.
