KLIKJARO contains tirzepatide, the first dual glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP) and GLP-1 receptor agonist. Each pen contains 60mg/2.4ml (4 doses of 15mg). Its 39-amino acid sequence is based on the GIP sequence with modifications enabling GLP-1 receptor co-activation. A C20 fatty diacid moiety enables albumin binding for once-weekly dosing.
